Question: Will you personally handle my case?

Answer: I am personally responsible for your case. In most cases, that means I make all court appearances with you. Occasionally, I may be involved in trial and this may impact my schedule. I do everything in my power to avoid this from occurring. I will respect your time and keep you advised of any potential schedule conflicts. I will also inform you at the time you hire me if I have potential schedule conflicts that I can foresee. However, in the case of any criminal defense attorney, there will be the occasional time when the court wants the attorney in two places at once. Courts always understand if the attorney is lat in one place or postpones a case by having another attorney make a court appearance. However, clients do not always understand this as easily because it is not pleasant to be surprised by a different attorney in court or worry about an attorney who is late. Over the last 25 years, I have become quite sensitive to this. I know how important your case is to you and will do everything to avoid schedule conflicts. If a conflict arises, I will reach you by telephone and let you know the arrangements I have made. The only attorneys who do not have the occasional schedule conflict is the attorney who does not agree to personally handle your case.
