I found this post to be funny, and had obvious common sense. I would say “Amen” to reason #2. Sometimes people in trouble for multiple drug offenses seem to be in a pattern where they cannot stop, and constantly come to the attention of police. Bailing someone out in that situation without a plan for serious drug rehabilitation often brings additional brushes with the law, with your friend in a worse situation for having made bail in the first place!
